Technical qualities<\/span><\/strong>
\nNEOKRYLL is a transparent, acrylic fixative for exteriors. Its special formula, consisting of special acrylic resins with very fine particles, makes it highly pervasive (up to 5 mm) and allows an efficient consolidation and sealing of the substrate. It is especially recommended for highly absorbent walls, chalking substrates, old crumbly plasters, plaster screeds, mineral substrates, fibre cement and in general for all kinds of wall substrates. It has a low odour level, is non inflammable and is friendly to both humans and the environment.<\/span><\/p>\n

Surface preparation<\/span><\/strong>
\nApply on thoroughly dry and mature surfaces. New plasters should mature for at least 30 days to allow complete carbonation of the support. Sand down or strip surfaces in order to remove imperfections and any loose or flaking material. In case of restoration works, all water infiltrations and leakages must be repaired.<\/span><\/p>\n

Application Method<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

On substrates with normal absorption, apply one coat of NEOKRYLL by OIKOS diluted with 50% drinkable water. On highly absorbent or chalking substrates, apply two coats of the product, wet on wet, diluting it with 100% drinkable water. The product can be applied by using a brush, roller or spray gun (1.3 mm nozzle). Allow 4-6 hours to dry before coating with finish products.<\/span><\/p>\n

Safety Information<\/span><\/strong>
\nThe product is free of heavy metals such as lead or chrome. It does not contain toxic solvents, aromatics or chlorides. There is no risk of any dangerous polymerisation. The product is considered to be a non dangerous substance if used in technically correct manner. Normal cautionary measures for the handling of water based paints are advised. No special arrangements are required for the storage, movement and transportation of the product; the containers, residue, eventual spilt material should be cleaned up using absorbent inert material such as sand, soil etc. and then disposed of in accordance with the regional and national regulations in force at that time. Transportation must be carried out in accordance with internation agreements.<\/span><\/p>\n

Specifications<\/span><\/strong>
\nClean the surfaces to be coated and remove any loose or flaking material. In case of new plasters, make sure the substrate is thoroughly dry and mature. On substrate with normal absorption, apply one coat of an acrylic fixative such as NEOKRYLL by OIKOS. On highly absorbent or chalking substrates apply two coats, wet on wet, of an acrylic fixative such as NEOKRYLL by OIKOS. Allow 4-6 hours to dry before spreading decorative finishes.
