Technical Qualities<\/span><\/strong>
\nLIME SCREED by OIKOS\u00a0 is a screed formulated with lime putty. It is non shrinking, filling, smoothing and easily to apply. Adhesion is very good on exterior surfaces. The product creates a stable link with the surface, maintaining the high level of vapour permeability of the surface. LIME SCREED IS available in three texture grades: LARGE MEDIUM and FINE. The products high level of alkalinity means that it is able to prevent the development of mould and bacteria. It has a low odour level, is non inflammable and is friendly to both humans and the environment.<\/span><\/p>\n

\nExterior surfaces of prestigious\/historically important buildings.<\/span><\/p>\n

Surface Preparation<\/span><\/strong>
\nThe surface must be dry and mature, new plasters should be left to mature at least 30 days to allow complete carbonation of the support. Clean the surfaces and remove loose and flaking materials. In case of restoration works, water infiltrations and leakages must be repaired. On powdering surfaces must be repaired. On powdering surfaces it is advisable to first apply SEALER FOR LIME CYCLES by OIKOS.<\/span><\/p>\n

Application Method<\/span><\/strong>
\nUsing a stainless steel trowel apply one or two coats of LIME SCREED by OIKOS according to the desired thickness. Wait 24 hours before applying finish products. Protect the surface from the rain during the first 24-48 hours from the application.<\/span><\/p>\n

Finish<\/span><\/strong>
\nThe ideal finish products to be used are LIME PAINT ADIGE, VERONA, NATURAL MARMORINO and TRADITIONAL PLASTER.<\/span><\/p>\n

Safety Information<\/span><\/strong>
\nThe product is free of heavy metals such as lead or chrome. It does not contain toxic solvents, aromatics or chlorides. There is no risk of any dangerous polymerisation. The product is classified as hazardous pursuant to the provisions set forth in the Regulations (CE) 1272\/2008 (CLP) and subsequent amendments and supplements. For further information see the product Safety Data Sheet. Normal cuationary measures for the handling of water based paints are advised. No special arrangements are required for the storage, movement and transportation of the product; the containers, residue, eventual spilt material should be cleaned up using absorbent inert material such as sand, soil etc. and then disposed of in accordance with the regional and national regulations in force at that time. Transportation must be carried out in accordance with international agreements.<\/span><\/p>\n
