Technical Qualities<\/span><\/strong>
\nBIOCOMPACT by OIKOS is a thick, exterior coating with a compact, troweled finish, formulated in three grain sized of 1, 1.2 and 1.5 mm, respectively called BIOCOMPACT 15. The product is composed of special acrylic siloxanic silanized resins with silanic adhesion activators in water dispersion that give the\u00a0 product an excellent adhesion on any kind of surface and is suitable also for highly vapour permeable surfaces. Grains of marble and sand in selected grain sized and titanium dioxide based fillers give the product great coverage and an elegant aesthetic effect. BIOCOMPACT has remarkable\u00a0 in-filling properties, great coverage and excellent water repellence and maintains a good level of vapour permeability of the support. Further to this the product prevents the formation of moulds and algae: it is therefore indicated for the protection and decoration of all types of wall surface, as well as for use on thermal insulation facade systems. For a higher prevention against moulds and algae formation it is advisable to add to the product the specific sanitizing additive STERYLPLUS. The product has a low odour level, is non inflammable and is friendly to both humans and the environment. Compliant with CAM (Minimum Environmental Criteria), III level certification EPD.<\/span><\/p>\n

\nSurfaces must be dry, even and thoroughly mature. New plaster should be left to mature for at least 30 days to allow for the complete carbonation of the support. Brush the surface in order to remove any loose or flaking material; in the case of restoration works,\u00a0 water infiltrations or leakages must be repaired before application. Apply the indicated primer BLANKOR by OIKOS. Wait 6-8 hours before applying the finish.<\/span><\/p>\n

Application method<\/span><\/strong>
\nUsing an inox steel trowel, apply an even coat of BIOCOMPACT with the thickness of the coat dictated by the size of the grain of the product. Following this, using the same tool, proceed to smooth over the surface in circular motions.<\/span><\/p>\n

Safety Information<\/span><\/strong>
\nThe product is free of heavy metals such as lead or chrome. It does not contain toxic solvents, aromatics or chlorides. There is no risk of any dangerous polymerisation. The product is considered to be a non-dangerous substance if used in the technically correct manner. Normal cautionary measures for the handling of water based paints are advised. No special arrangements are required for the storage, movement and transportation of the product; the containers, residue, eventual spilt material should be cleaned up using absorbent inert material such as sand, soil etc. and then disposed of in accordance with the regional and national regulations in force at that time. Transportation must be carried out in accordance with international agreements.<\/span><\/p>\n
