Technical Characteristics<\/span><\/strong>
\nProduct specially studied to neutralise rust and to transform it, once dry, into an inert, repaintable composite. The product is water repellent and protects the underlying surface. It is ideal for\u00a0 use on fences, gates, railings, bodyworks and objects made in iron. It does not contain formaldehyde.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ideal Use<\/span><\/strong>
\nOn rusty iron surfaces, on the interior and exterior.<\/span><\/p>\n

Surface preparation<\/span><\/strong>
\nClean the surface with a wire brush removing all flakes or loose rust existing coats of paint. Traces of grease or dirt must be removed using suitable products.<\/span><\/p>\n

Application Method<\/span><\/strong>
\nCONVERTITORE ECOLOGICO can be applied by brush, roller or spray gun and starts to act as soon as it is applied on to the surface. Once dry, the surface takes on a dark brown colour. A single application is sufficient. Avoid applying the product on hot surfaces (never above 40oC). Cover the application of CONVERTITORE ECOLOGICO from water and rain. Paint over within 24-36 hours. Pour the product into non metal containers. Any marks left can be removed using a solution of bleach and water.<\/span><\/p>\n

Safety Information<\/span><\/strong>
\nThe product is free of heavy metals such as lead or chrome. It does not contain toxic solvents, aromatics or chlorides. There is no risk of any dangerous polymerisation. The product is considered to be a non-dangerous substance if used in the technically correct manner. Normal cautionary measures for the handling of water based paints are advised. No special arrangements are required for the storage, movement and transportation of the product; the containers, residue, eventual spilt material should be cleaned up using absorbent inert material such as sand, soil etc. and then disposed of in accordance with the regional and national regulations in force at that time. Transportation must be carried out in accordance with international agreements.<\/span><\/p>\n

\nAfter having prepared the surface to be coated, apply a layer of a rust converter such as CONVERTITORE ECOLOGICO by OIKOS.
