Apart from being used for coating, traditional Roman mortar was also used as a binding material in bricklaying and in grouting. Our range of coloured hydraulic grouts is based on the old, traditional recipe. However, by adding natural aggregates of various grain sizes and non-alkaline cement, we have turned it into a highly durable mortar, capable of withstanding the effect of moisture and the ravages of time. Our hydraulic grout can be used as binding material in bricklaying or stone grouting in walls and floors, both indoor and outdoor. It is available in a wide variety of shades and can create a wide variety of surface styles depending on the way it is applied. The result is quite natural and fits in perfectly with the various stones and decorative brick selected for masonry or flooring. Its particular composition renders it suitable for restoring buildings and archaeological monuments because, among other things, it guarantees that old and new mortar ore compatible that all the materials are homogenous precisely because the proportions of material quantities are standardised.
