Protective agent for concrete, clear with wet effect. It creates a water-repellent protective layer, resistant to freeze/ thaw cycles, to the basicity of concrete and to the penetration of CO2 and SO2 gases, present in smog and rain, responsible for the carbonation and rusting of the iron reinforcement. Also suitable for masonry, fiber cement or stone.
Technical Qualities
BETONCRYLL TRANSPARENT is a special acrylic protective coating for concrete with a transparent, wet look finish. The product consists of modified acrylic resins in water dispersion, which provide a waterproof protective coating resistant to penetration of CO2 and SO2 gases present in rain and smog, to frost thaw cycles, and to the low pH level of the cement. BETONCRYLL TRANSPARENT provides an anti carbonation barrier and protects concrete against the oxidation of the reinforcing iron rods. Due to its high vapour permeability the product can be applied onto masonry, fiber cement and stone. It has a l ow odour level, is non inflammable and is friendly to both humans and the environment.

Surface preparation
Carefully clean the surface to be treated removing any loose or flaking material, dust, smog or dirt by brushing thoroughly or washing the surface. New surfaces must be thoroughly dry and mature and free from grease and lubricants.
Application Method
On old and powdering surfaces apply as a primer, a coat of BETONCRYLL TRANSPARENT diluted 70-80% with drinkable water. After preparation of the surface apply by brush, roller or spray hgun, two coats of BETONCRYLL TRANSPARENT, leaving 4 hours between coats diluting the first coat 40% and the seond 20% with drinkable water. BETONCRYLL TRANSPARENT is recommended for protection of exterior tiles, natural stone and bricks.
Safety Information
The product is free of heavy metals such as lead or chrome. It does not contain toxic solvents, aromatics or chlorides. There is no risk of any dangerous polymerisation. The product is considered to be a non dangerous substance if used in the technically correct manner. Normal cautionary measures for the handling of water based paints are advised. No special arrangements are required for the sotrage, movement and transportation of the product; the containers, residue, eventual spilt material should be cleaned up using absorbent inert material such as sand, soil etc. and then disposed of in accordance with the regional and national regulations in force at that time. Transportation must be carried out in accordance with international agreements.
Specifications
Clean the surfaces to be treated, brush or wash away smog and dust, remove loose or flaking materials. Onto old, powdery and chalking substrates, apply as primer, a coat of an acrylic protective product such as BETONCRYLL TRANSPARENTE by OIKOS diluted 70-80%. In case of new plasters, make sure the substrate is thoroughly dry and free from any grease or lubricants. After preparing the substrate, apply two coats of diluted acrylic protective coating such as BETONCRYLL TRANSPARENT by OIKOS, wait as BETONCRYLL TRANSPARENT by OIKOS, waiting 4 hours between coats. All must be carried out in accordance with the norms of application.
