CONSOLIDANTE PER CALCE

Transparent consolidating primer, fixative for exteriors and interiors, suitable for lime-based paint acrylic. The product has a high degree of penetration allowing an excellent consolidation of the wall. It allows to regulate the absorption of the wall by facilitating the application of the finish product and reducing its consumption.

Technical Qualities
CONSOLIDANTE PER CALCA is a transparent, consolidating primer for lime-based products. Its formulation with extremely fine particles makes it highly penetrating (up to 5 mm) allowing effective consolidating and insulation of the wall. The product is particularly suitable for highly absorbent walls, walls with old flaking paints, old chalking plasters, lime screeded walls, mineral substrates and in general for all wall surfaces.

Ideal Use
Alkaline supports, civil or gypsum plasters, rustic plasters and old walls on exteriors of historical or prestigious buildings.

Surface Preparation
Surfaces should be thoroughly dry and mature, new plaster must have been left to mature for at least 30 days to allow for the complete carbonation of the surface. Carefully brush or strip the surface to remove any loose or flaking material; in case of restoration work, water infiltrations and leakages must be repaired.

Application method
Apply by brush CONSOLIDANTE PER CALCE, diluting the product with water between 100% and 200% according to the absorption of the surface. Wait approximately 12 hours before applying finish products.

Safety Information
The product is free of heavy metals such as lead or chrome. It does not contain toxic solvents, aromatics or chlorides. There is no risk of any dangerous polymerisation. The product is considered to be a non-dangerous substance if used in the technically correct manner. Normal cautionary measures for the handling of water based paints are advised. No special arrangements are required for the storage, movement and transportation of the product; the containers, residue, eventual spilt material should be cleaned up using absorbent inert material such as sand, soil etc. and then disposed of in accordance with the regional and national regulations in force at that time.
