Elastomeric pigmented surface primer, water-repellent, resistant to light, bad weather and pollutants, prevents the formation of mold and algae. It is indicated for the protection and restoration of all wall surfaces, especially where there is a risk of cracking cracks or crevices.

Technical Qualities
ELASTRONG GUM is a pigmented elastic coating for exterior surfaces, to be used as an intermediate coat in the smooth elastomeric cycle that will be completed with a coat of ELASTRONG PAINT GUM by OIKOS. The product contains acrylic elastomeric resins in water dispersion, organic and inorganic pigments and titanium dioxide. The special elastomeric resins make the product highly elastic, water repellent, resistant to light, to weather conditions and to pollution: it also prevents the formation of mould and algae. The product remains elastic over time, even when subject to frost and thaw cycles and U.V. rays. ELASTRONG GUM is recommended for protecting and restoring all wall surfaces, and especially those subject to cracking or fissures. In the event that an even greater level of protection against mould and algae is needed, it is recommended to add the indicated additive STERYLPLUS to the product. It has a low odour level, is non-inflammable and is friendly to both humans and the environment.

Ideal Use
Exterior walls that are subject to cracks and fissures.

Surface Preparation
On old surfaces or surfaces with existing layers of paint, remove or wash away all loose or flaking material, smog stains, dust or dirt. Apply one coat of the special primer NEOKRYLL by OIKOS. Wait 4-6 hours until dry. New surfaces must be thoroughly dry and mature, on new surfaces then apply one coat of the primer BLANKOR by OIKOS to improve the adhesion and render the absorption homogenous. Wait 6-8 until dry.

Application Method
To obtain a smooth finish, apply by brush or by wool short hair roller a coat ELASTRONG GUM diluted with 10% water. For orange peel finish, apply undiluted by using a medium grain sponge roller. Wait 6-8 hours before applying the finishing coating ELASTRONG PAINT GUM.

Safety Information
The product is free of heavy metals such as lead or chrome. It does not contain toxic solvents, aromatics or chlorides. There is no risk of any dangerous polymerisation. The product is considered to be a non-dangerous substance if used in the technically correct manner. Normal cautionary measures for the handling of water based paints are advised. No special arrangements are required for the storage, movement and transportation of the product; the containers, residue, eventual spilt material should be cleaned up using absorbent inert material such as sand, soil, etc. and then disposed of in accordance with the regional and national regulations in force at that time. Transportation must be carried out in accordance with international agreements.

Specifications
Clean the surface to be painted, removing any loose or flaking material. New surfaces must be thoroughly dry and mature. To render homogenous the absorption and to consolidate powdering surfaces, apply one coat of a primer such as NEOKRYLL or BLANKOR by OIKOS. Once prepared apply an intermediate elastic coating such as ELASTRONG GUM by OIKOS and an elastomeric finish coat such as ELASTRONG PAINT GUM by OIKOS. All must be carried out in accordance with the norms of application.
