FONDO MURALES by OIKOS is a special, acrylic base coat that forms an ideal base for the decorative finishes,. The products particular formulation based on acrylic resins brings together the characteristics of vapour permeability and excellent surface coverage, thus preparing the surface in an ideal manner for subsequent decoration. The product has a low odour level, is non-inflammable and is friendly to both humans and the environment.

Surface Preparation

New surfaces should be thoroughly dry and mature. On old or previously painted surfaces, remove any deposits of dust, smog or other impurity using brush or thorough washing. Remove any  loose or crumbling material, if necessary, apply one coat of the special sealer NEOFIX OIKOS. Wait 4 – 6 hours to dry.

Application Method

Apply by brush, roller or spray gun, according to the required coverage, one or two coats of FONDO MURALES by OIKOS in thecolour indicated for the finish product to be used, dilute with 20 – 30% of drinkable water leaving approximately 6 hours between one coat and the other brush or roller.

Safety Information

The product is free of heavy metals such as lead or chrome. It does not contain toxic solvents, aromatics or chlorides. There is no risk of any dangerous polymerisation. The product is considered to be a non-dangerous substrance if used in the technically correct manner. Normal cautionary measures for the handling of water based paints are advised. No special arrangements are required for the storage, movement and transportation of the product; the containers, residue, eventual spilt material should be cleaned up using absorbent inert material such as sand, soil etc. and then disposed of in accordance with the regional and national regulations in force at that time. Transportation must be carried out in accordance with international agreements.
