GB-COVER is a ready-mixed filler used for filling and finishing gypsum boards. It is easy to spread and can be sanded down to a smooth, level surface, ready for priming and painting. Certified according to EN 13963 and classified as a type 3A jointing compound for gypsum plasterboards (bedding and finishing compound). CE marked.
GB-COVER is ideal for use a finishing compound to smooth and prepare gypsum boards for a uniform surface prior to decorating. It is also used for filling joints and cracks in gypsum boards together with joint tapes.

Substrate preparation
The substrate must be stable and free of dust, grease, loose particles, etc.

Application
a) Smoothing-finishing
Apply GB-COVER with a trowel, using a dragging technique in two coats. Allow the first coat to dry before applying the second one.

b) Jointing and crack filling
First, place the self-adhesive joint tape along the gypsum board joint or crack. Then, apply GB-COVER to the dry and clean surface in two coats using a trowel or filling knife. Allow the first coat to dry before applying the second one. For a non self-adhesive tape, apply a first coat of GB-COVER along the joint or crack. While this is still fresh, place the tape along the joint or crack and embed it into the filler applying firm pressure. Allow the first coat to dry before applying the second one. In both cases, smooth down the surface with sandpaper when dry and then you can continue with priming and painting.
