Anchoring fixative with excellent penetration characteristics, strengthens the substrate. Ideal for restic plasters, gypsum plasters, alkaline plasters, chalky and not very compact plasters, old wall surfaces and, in general, very porous substrates.

Technical Qualities
IL PRIMER is a special, infilling, adhesive primer, ideal for rustic plasterwork, civil plaster, gypsum plasters, alkaline surfaces, loose and crumbling plaster, old wall surfaces and highly porous substrates in general. The product permeates deeply, consolidating the support, and is highly vapour permeable and consolidating. It consolidates the substrate on to which it is applied making the plaster more compact, thus enabling easy anchorage of lime based products, old style stuccoes, screeds, paints which are applied thickly, decorative glazes and slightly uneven, old style, decorative finishes. The product has a low level of odour, is non-inflammable and is friendly to both humans and the environment. Product certified in class “A+” under emissions classifications (Decree of the Official French Gazzette dated 19th April 2011).

Ideal Use
Interior walls, as fixative for screeds, old style stuccoes, decorative plasters.

Surface Preparation
Clean the surface to be painted, removing all loose material. With new plasters, ensure that the substrate is thoroughly dry and mature.

Application Method
Dilute IL PRIMER between 50% and 100% with drinkable water, dependin on the state of the substrate. Proceed to apply, by brush, roller or spray gun, a single coat of the product. Wait 6 hours before continuing to apply the finishing coats.

Safety Information
The product is free of heavy metals such as lead or chrome. It does not contain toxic solvents, aromatics or chlorides. There is no risk of any dangerous polymerisation. The product is considered to be a non-dangerous substance if used in the technically correct manner. Normal cautionary measures for the handling of water based paints are advised. No special arrangements are required for the storage, movement and transportation of the product; the containers, residue, eventual spilt material should be cleaned up using absorbent inert material such as sand, soil etc. and then disposed of in accordance with the regional and national regulations in force at that time. Transportation must be carried out in accordance with international agreements.

Specifications
Clean the surface, removing any loose material. Apply one coat of a primer in class A+ under emissions classification such as IL PRIMER by OIKOS, so as to obtain a perfectly sealed surface ready for the application of finishing products. All must be carried out in accordance with the norms of application.
