ISOCURE

ISOCURE is a paraffin-based water emulsion used to protect fresh concrete from quick evaporation of mixing water. More specifically:

  • Minimizes hairline cracking.
  • Reduces setting shrinkage.
  • Ensures concrete achieves its full strength.
  • Increases dusting resistance after concrete has set.
  • Increases frost resistance.

Based on its technical characteristics, ISOCURE is classified as Type 1 and Class A, as stated in the ASTM C309-19 standard. ISOCURE is used as an evaporation retardant-curing agent for fresh concrete. Particularly suitable for application to large exposed concrete, surfaces such as industrial floors, parking areas, concrete slabs, etc. It may also be used as a separation layer (bond breaker), to prevent adhesion between old and new concrete.
ISOCURE should be thoroughly stirred before use and then applied by spray or brush in a uniform thin layer. It is applied on the freshly-coated concrete surface, after evaporation of the skin-deep water (after 30-120 min), as well as on precast concrete, immediately after removing the formworks.

  • 12 months from production date if stored in original, unopened packaging at temperatures between +5 oC and +35 oC. Protect from direct sunlight and frost.
  • In case subsequent layers are to be applied to the concrete surface, the material must be removed be means of water blasting.
