ISOLAC-AQUA ECO EGGSHELL is a premium, new-generation, eco-friendly, water-based enamel paint with a matt, low-sheen finish for all interior and exterior wood work. Applicable also to metal, plaster, galvanized surfaces, etc., provided a suitable primer is used. Features high flexibility, excellent surface coverage and opacity. Shows outstanding resistance to weather conditions, aging and frequent washing, while offering non-yellowing properties. Provides strong adhesion and is suitable for repainting previously coated surfaces with water or solvent-based enamels. Has excellent workability and quick-drying time. Nearly odorless, environment and use-friendly. Certified according to the criteria of the European Union Ecolabelling Board (EUEB). Complies with Toy Safety Standard EN 71-3:2019 + A1:2021, Category III, on migration of certain elements. Has achieved the Eurofins Indoor Air Comfort GOLD certification, which sets the stringent criteria for very low emissions of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and contributes to good indoor air quality, ensuring a safe and healthy living environment. Classified A+ (the highest rating), according to the French VOC regulation, for evaluation of VOC emissions.
Substrate preparation
The substrate should be dry and free of grease, loose particles, dust, etc., while any imperfections should be rubbon down with sandpaper.
1.1. Wood or plaster surfaces
The surface should be primed with ISOLAC-AQUA ECO PRIMER in 1-2 coats, thinned 5-10% with clean water for brush or roller application and 20-30% for airless spray application. Once ISOLAC-AQUA ECO PRIMER has dried, the surface should be sanded with sandpaper to ensure optimum paint adhesion.
1.2.Metal surfaces
The surface should be primed with ISOLAC-RUST PRIMER in 1-2 coats, thinned 5-10% with SM-21 for brush or roller application and 10-20% with SM-22 for airless spray application. Once ISOLAC-RUST PRIMER has dried, the surface should be sanded with sandpaper to ensure optimum paint adhesion. For application to galvanzied metals or aluminum, the surface should be primed with EPOXYCOAT-AC anti-corrosion epoxy primer. After 24 hours and as long as the primer has completely dried, the first coat of ISOLAC-AQUA-ECO EGGSHELL can be applied.
Application
Stir ISOLAC- AQUA ECO EGGSHELL well before use. For brush or roller application, thin by 5-10% with clean water, and for airless spray application by 20-30%. Apply two coats allowing the first coat to dry completely before applying the second one. Temperature during application and drying of the paint should be between +10°C and +35°C.
