ISOMAT AK-25

ISOMAT AK-25 is a high-performance, ultra-flexible, cement-based tile adhesive, enhanced with polymers (resins), with extended open time and no vertical slip. ISOMAT AK-25 is suitable for fixing all types of wall and floor tiles, including absorbent and non-absorbent tiles (e.g. gres porcellanato), natural stone, decorative bricks, large-format times, etc. Well-suited for applications where ultra flexibility, high adhesion and moisture resistance are required and for substrates subject to movement due to expansion/contraction or vibration, such as balconies, flat roofs, heated floors, metal surfaces, wood floors, old tile layers, swimming pools, gypsum boards, etc. For indoor and outdoor applications.

Substrate Preparation
The surface to be overlaid must be clean, free of dust, grease, paint, loose material, etc. It is recommended to dampen the substrate before application.

Application
ISOMAT AK-25 is gradually added to water under continuous stirring, until a uniform paste is formed. A low-speed mixer is recommended for mixing. The mixture should be left to stand for about 5 minutes, before is slightly stirred again. The tile adhesive should be uniformly applied over the entire surface with a notched trowel. Tiles should be firmly fixed to the desired position. The applied mixture to avoid film formation, i.e. beofre the adhesive film starts to set.

  • Due to cement content, ISOMAT AK-25 reacts with moisture forming alkaline solutions, thus is classified as irritant.
  • Very porous surfaces, such as aerated concrete, gypsum boards, chipboards, etc. must be previously primed with UNI-PRIMER acrylic primer.
