ISOMAT PU-FOAM

One-component, self-expanding polyurethane foam which cures by reacting with moisture in the air. It expands to twice its original volume. ISOMAT PU-FOAM offers:

  • Excellent adhesion to most common materials.
  • High thermal and sound insulation.
  • Resistance to moisture
  • Great endurance to aging.

ISOMAT PU-FOAM shows excellent adhesion on wood, cement, stone, metal, etc. It is used for fixing door and window frames, filling holes, sealing gaps on insulating materials, over pipe penetrations through walls etc.

Substrate preparation
The substrate must be clean and free of dust, loose particles, grease, etc. Slight dampening of the surface with water improves the temporary adhesion of foam during the application.

Application
Before use, shake well. Remoce the lid and fix tighly the plastic nozzle. During the process, the can must be held inverted with the valve in bottom position. The flow of the foam is adjusted by pressuring the valve. Care must be taken not to overfill the joints as the foam will expand after the application to 2-2,5 times its original volume. In order to stop the expansion of the fresh foam, you can spray it with water after the application.

  • Minimum application temperature is +5 oC.
  • It should not be stored at temperatures above +50 oC. For longer shelf life storage, temperatures above +25 oC and under -5 oC must be avoided.
  • The surface to be applied may be wet but not frozen.
  • Before use, the cans must remain in normal temperature conditions for at least 12 hours.
  • Cured foam should be protected from UV radiation.
  • Fresh foam can be cleaned with a special cleaner. The cleaner just softens the foam. Once cured, the foam can only be cleaned by mechanical means. Always store in upright position.
  • Consult the safety advice and precautions written on the packaging.
  • ISOMAT PU-FOAM is intended for professional use only.
