PS-20 is a transparent, ready-to-use, silicone-based solution with solvents, for hydrophobic treatment of inorganic substrates.
- It offers excellent water-repellency and long-lasting protection.
- It is water vapor-permeable, allowing the structure to breathe.
- It does not form a film on the application surface or alter its appearance.
- It protects the surface from salt stains (efforescence), improves resistance to frost damage, and reduces dirt pick-up by preventing absorption of rainwater.
- Suitable for very alkaline substrates.
- Instantly effective after application.
Certified according to EN 1504-2 and classified as a hydrophobic impregnation. CE marked. PS-20 is applied to various surfaces (natural or synthetic stone, unpainted plaster, exposed masonry, decorative brick, roof tiles, tiles, exposed concrete, etc.) for their protection against rain. Also suitable for waterproofing of tile joints.
Substrate preparation
The surface to be treated must be clean, dry and have an open capillary system. Adjacent surfaces like windowes, painted elements, solvent-sensitive materials like polystyrene, joint sealants, bitumen, etc., should be protected during application.
Application
PS-20 is applied with a brush, roller, or spray. One or two layers are usually sufficient. The second layer is applied while the first one is still fresh. Hydrophobic treatment is more effective on surfaces with adequate slope without standing water.
