STUCCO ROMANO

Eco-friendly decorative stucco that refers to the ancient and fascinating classical tradition of Roman art, with finishes that recreate the typical and unique elegance of marble and stucco based on lime putty.

Technical qualities
STUCCO ROMANO is a natural lime based, decorative stucco that makes it possible to recreate a finish with an effect similar to marble. The special formulation of the product, made up of lime, selected marble powder and special additives, gives it an excellent adhesion to the support and a smooth flow in application making it easy and quick to achieve a perfect matt or gloss finish according to the desired effect. STUCCO ROMANA, thanks to tits natural composition it guarantees the surface maximum levels of vapour permeability and aids the natural diffusion of humidity through plaster and brick work, thus avoiding the formation plaster and brick work, thus avoiding the formation of mould and bacteria over time. The product has low odour, is non inflammable and is friendly to both humans and the environment. Product certified in class “A+” under emissions classification.

Surface preparation
Clean the surface and apply a coat of the fixative IL PRIMER by OIKOS to insure perfect adhesion of the product to the surface. On rough and irregular surfaces, screed with PASTA IN STUCCO PER RASATURA by OIKOS.

How to apply
Warning: Intense colour must be left to settle for approximately ten hours after having been coloured in order to regain a suitable consistency. For an impeccable result, apply the product in three coats using the special Inox Steel Trowel by OIKOS.

Finishes and protective coatings
To protect and enhance the sheen of the finish, after 6-8 hours, apply CERA PER STUCCO by OIKOS. To enhance the polish, protect and add a mother of pearl effect wait 6-8 hours then apply Finitura Madreperlata by Oikos. In the event that a greater level of impermeability and washability is desired apply PROTETTIVO PER STUCCO E MARMORINO by OIKOS after 4-5 days.

Safety Information
The product is free of heavy metals such as lead or chrome. It does not contain toxic solvents, aromatics or chlorides. There is no risk of any dangerous polymerisation. The product is classified as hazardous pursuant to the provisions set forth in the Regulations 1272/2008 (CLP) and subsequent amendments and supplements. No special arrangements are required for the storage, movement and transportation of the product; the containers, residue, eventual spilt material should be cleaned up using absorbent inert material such as sand, soil etc. and then disposed of in accordance with the regional and national regulations.

Specifications
Carefully clean the surface, removing any loose or flaking material. Apply a primer such as IL PRIMER by OIKOS and wait for it to dry. Following this, apply a decorative, vapour permeable, lime-based stucco finish in Class A+ under emissions classification such as STUCCO ROMANO by OIKOS, that reproposes the antique effect known as “the marmorino effect”. The application should be carried out using the steel trowel and the final effect should imitate marble. All must be carried out in accordance with the norms of application.
