Anti-salt primer, formulated with siloxane resins, has a high degree of penetration and allows excellent wall consolidation, prevents and blocks the formation of salts deriving from rising damp.

Technical Qualities
DECORSIL PRIMER by OIKOS is a special salt blocking primer produced with siloxanic resins. It is highly pervasive, strengthens the wall and blocks the salt deriving from inside humidity. It’s use is essential in application cycles using highly vapour permeable, siloxanic coatings on wall surfaces and especially on high diffusion and dehumidifying plasters. The product has a low odour level, is non inflammable and is friendly to both humans and the environment.

Ideal Use
Interior and exterior walls of prestigious buildings, recommended for on high diffusion and dehumidifying plasters.

Surface Preparation
The surfaces must be completely dry and mature, new plaster must mature at least 30 days to allow surfaces to be decorated and remove loose or flaking materials. In case of new plasters, make sure the substrate is thoroughly dry. In case of restoration works, rectify water infiltration or leaks.

Application method
Allow the wall to dry before proceeding to apply DECORSIL PRIMER by OIKOS, ready to use, by brush or roller. Repeat the procedure in case of strong presence of salts. Allow 12 hours to dry before coating with decorative finishes.

Safety Information
The product is free of heavy metals such as lead or chrome. It does not contain toxic solvents, aromatics or chlorides. There is no risk of any dangerous polymerisation. The product is considered to be a non dangerous substance if used in the technically correct manner. Normal cautionary measures for the handling of water based paints are advised. No special arrangements are required for the storage, movement and transportation of the product; the containers, residue, eventual spilt material should be cleaned up using absorbent inert material such as sand, soil etc. and then disposed of in accordance with the regional and national regulations in force at that time. Transportation must be carried out in accordance with international agreements.

Specifications
Clean the surfaces to be decorated and remove loose or flaking materials. In case of new plasters, make sure the substrate is thoroughly dry and mature. In case of restoration works, repair water infiltrations or leakages. Allow the wall to dry, then apply a special salt blocking primer such as DECORSIL PRIMER by OIKOS. Repeat the application in case of  high presence of salt. All must be carried out in accordance with the norms of application.
