DOMOSIL-MICRO is suitable for sealing joints 3-40mm wide in materials such as glass, aluminium, non-porous ceramics, porcelain (tiles, sanitary products, etc). Ideal for high-humidity areas, e.g. kitchens, bathrooms, etc. DOMOSIL-MICRO remains color stable and offers 10 years no mold guarantee, providing that normal cleaning practices are followed.
Substrate preparation
Substrate must be free of dust, loose particles, grease, oil,etc. It is advisable that the joint be cleaned up using a paintbrush or a wire brush and then air-blasted. To avoid undesirable soiling at joint edges, masking tape should be applied alongside the edges and then removed immediately after sealing the joint (before a film is formed).
Application
The cartridge is inserted in the special gun and the nozzle is cut nozzle slantwise, so that it does not fit into the joint but barely touches and slides along the edges. Silicone is applied by moving the cartridge alongside the joint acis at a 45 o angle. While still fresh, silicone is leveled with a trowel or yor finger.
Cleaning of tools:
Tools must be thoroughly cleaned with water whilst material is still fresh. In case the material has hardened, tools can only be mechanically cleaned.
