ISOCURE-A

Acrylic-based water emulsion for protecting fresh concrete from quick evaporation of mixing water. It forms a membrane on the surface, which:

  • Reduces any possible drying shrinkage cracks.
  • Reduces the setting shrinkage of concrete.
  • Ensures optimum strength development.
  • Decreases the surface-dusting effect after the concrete has set.
  • Increases resistance to frost.
  • In case of subsequent layers on the concrete surface (e.g. cement screed, plaster), there is no need for removing ISOCURE-A by water blasting, scrubbing etc.
  • Eliminates the need for water curing or covering the wet cloths.

When applied on existing hardened concrete floors or cement screeds, it seals and dustproofs their surface. ISOCURE-A is used as an anti-evaporation curing agent for fresh concrete and as a surface hardener for existing crumbled floorings and surfaces in order to increase their strength and wear resistance. Particularly suitable for applying on large surfaces of exposed concrete, such as industrial floorings, parking areas, concrete slabs etc. It is also suitable for vertical surfaces.

As a curing agent for fresh concrete

ISOCURE-A should be thoroughly stirred before use and should be applied by spraying in a uniform thin layer. It is applied on the freshly-coated concrete surface, after evaporation of the skin-deep water (after 30-120 min). In case of pre-cast concrete, it is required to dampen the surface after removing the formwork, and then spray with ISOCURE-A.

As a surface hardener on existing floors
The surface must be dry and free of dust, grease, dirt etc. For better impregnation of ISOCURE-A, the surface should be prepared by grinding and cleaning. ISOCURE-A is thoroughly stirred and uniformly applied on the substrate by spraying, brush or roller, until full impregnation. For very absorbent surfaces, it is usually required to apply a second layer, after the first one has dried.

12 months from production date, if stored in original, unopened packaging, at temperatures between +5 oC and +35 oC. Protect from direct sun exposure and frost.

  • During application, the ambient temperature and the temperature of the substrate should be between +5 oC and +30 oC.
  • The successive layer can be placed as soon as ISOCURE-A is completely dry.
  • ISOCURE-A is almost transparent after drying. It is recommended to try it on the surface before the application, because it may alter the appearance of the surface.
  • ISOCURE-A is not suitable for permanent immersion to water. Uneven surfaces should be properly treated with a suitable repairing material. Consult the Technical Support Department.
