ISOMAT AK-22 is suitable for fixing all types of walls and floors tiles, including absorbent and non-absorbent tiles (e.g. gres porcellanato), natural stone, decorative bricks, large-format tiles, etc. Well-suited for applications where extra flexiblility, high adhesion and moisture resistance are required, such as existing ceramic tiled layers, heated floors, metal surfaces, swimming pools. Substrate preparation
The surface to be overlaid must be clean, free of dust, grease, paint, loose material, etc. It is recommended to dampen the substrate before application.
Application
ISOMAT AK-22 is gradually added to water under continuous stirring, until a uniform paste is formed. A low-speed mixer is recommended for mixing. The mixture should be left to stand for about 5 minutes and then stirred again. The tile adhesive should be uniformly spread over the entire surface with a notched trowel. The tiles should be frimly fixed to the desired position. The applied mixture must be covered with tiles within 30 minutes to avoid film formation, i.e. before the adhesive film starts setting.
