MARMOCRYL FR Decore is a pasty, white or colored, acrylic finish render, specifically designed to achieve optimized fire protection. It consists of aggregates with special particle size distribution delivering a rough-textured decorative finish. MARMOCRYL FR Decor is intended for use as a thincoat render on interior and exterior wall surfaces made of all types of building materials, including render, concrete, cement board, gypsum board, etc. It replaces the final coat in a rendering system and is the optimal solution for those applications where excellent fire performance is critical consideration. Thanks to its high elasticity and excellent adhesion to the substrate, MARMOCRYL FR Decor is the ideal final coat in external thermal insulation systems.
Substrate preparation
The substrate must be dry and free of dust, oil or grease, loose materials, etc. It is then primed ith FLEX-PRIMER or ML-PRIMER. Smooth or non-absorbent surfaces should be primed with PL-BOND. MARMOCRYL FR Decor is applied fter the primer has dried.
Application
MARMOCRYL FR Decore should be thoroughly stirred before application. Stirring should be done with slow circular motions to prevent bubble formation in the mass of material. The render is applied by hand, using a smooth stainless steel trowel, or with a rendering machine. While still fresh (5-15 min after its application), the render is treated (pressed) with a plastic or wooden float. Working time depends on substrate absorbency and ambient temperature.
