Mineral water-based paint with fine quartz, anti-algae with matt effect, water-repellent, fast drying, high yield, prevents the formation of algae and mold. In 620 shades resistant to the action of UV rays.

Technical Qualities
NEOQUARZ PLUS by OIKOS is a special washable, acrylic, quartz paint for exteriors. The product’s formulation combines the resistance properties of quartz with the special qualities of acrylic resins such as, mechanic resistance to frost-thaw cycle, U.V.-tays and acids resistance, outstanding vapour permeability, water-repellent power, weatherability and excellent coverage. NEOQUARZ PLUS provides a matt smooth finish and is available in a wide colour range. It is recommended for the protection and decoration of prestige buildings, even when located in weather, beaten environments. It prevents the formation of algae and moulds. In case a higher prevention against algae and moulds is required we suggest the addition of the specific sanitizing product STERYLPLUS it has a low odour level, is non-inflammable and friendly to both humans and the environment. Compliant with CAM (Minimum Environmental Criteria), III level certification. EPD.

Surface Preparation
In case of old or previously painted substrates, brush or wash away stains and dust, remove loose or flaking materials, then apply one coat of the special primer NEOKRYLL by OIKOS. Wait 4-6 hours until dry. In case of new plasters, make sure the substrate is thoroughly dry and mature and then apply one coat of primer BLANKOR by OIKOS to improve adhesion and render the absorption homogenous, allow 6-8 hours to dry.

Application Method
Apply two coats of NEOQUARZ PLUS diluted with 20-30% drinkable water by brush, roller or spray gun (1.7 mm nozzle), waiting 6 hours between coats.

Finishes and Protection
In order to give the surface a paint wash effect, it is possible to apply, once the surface is thoroughly dry, a coat of VELDECOR by OIKOS going over the surface with a brush, sponge or glove by OIKOS.

Safety Information
The product is free of heavy metals such as lead or chrome. It does not contain toxic solvents, aromatics or chlorides. There is no risk of any dangerous polymerisation. The product is considered to be a non-dangerous substance if used in the technically correct manner. Normal cautionary measures for the handling of water based paints are advised. No special arrangements are required for the storage and movement of the product; the containers, residue, eventual spilt material should be cleaned up using absorbent inert material such as sand, soil etc.  and then disposed of in accordance with the regional and national regulations in force at that time.
