STERYLPAINT is a special, vapour permeable, anti-mould, washable paint that is particularly effective in the prevention of the development of mould and algae, especially in environments where there is a high level of humidity (kitchens, bathrooms, swimming pools etc.). The special bactericides and fungicides used in its formulation act on a wide range of micro-organisms and protect the wall for a long time. It has a low level of odour, is non-flammable and is friendly to both humans and the environment. Product certified in class “A+” under emissions classification (Decree of the Official French Gazette dated 19th April 2011).

Interior walls with problems of mould and algae.

Surface Preparation

Prepare the effected surface by removing moulds/algae by using Sterylfix by OIKOS and the santising Sterylsan by OIKOS.

Application Method

Using a roller or brush, apply a first coat of STERYLPAINT diluted 30 – 40% with drinkable water. After approximately 6 – 8 hours proceed with the application of a secon coat of the product diluted 25 – 30% with drinkable water. STERYLPAINT can be applied as a preventive measure also on healthy walls, in which case thee application of preparatory products is not necessary.

Safety Information

The product is free of heavy metals such as lead or chrome. It does not contain toxic solvents, aromatics or chlorides. There is no risk of any dangerous polymerisation. The product is considered to be a non-dangerous substance if used in the technically correct manner. Normal cautionary measures for the handling of qater based paints are advised. No special arrangements are required for the storage, movement and transportation of the product; the containers, residue, eventual spilt material should be cleaned up using absorbent inert material such as sand, soil etc. and then disposed of in accordance with the regional and national regulations in force at that time. Transportation must be carried out in accordance with the international agreements.

Specifications

Clean the surface to be treated and remove loose or flaking materials. Remove moulds/algae by using a detergent such as Sterylfix by OIKOS and a sanitising product such as Sterylsan by OIKOS. Apply two coats of a sterilizing, vapour permeable paint against moulds and algae in Class 3 washability and Class A+ under emissions classification such as STERYLPAINT by OIKOS.
