Swelling tape consisting of sodium bentonite, reinforced with butyl elastomers. It expands up to 340% upon contact with water, thus sealing and waterproofing joint gaps permanently.
WATERSTOP 1520 CC is used in undergorund constructions for the sealing of horizontal or vertical construction joints in concrete elements. Also it can be used for the sealing of junctions (e.g. pipes through concrete walls etc.). It is not suitable for joints that will be in contact with sea water.
The substrate must be clean, relatively smooth and free of loose parts. The protective tape is first removed from WATERSTOP 1520 CC and then placed along the joint at a distance of at least 8 cm from the  lateral edges. WATERSTOP 1520 CC is mechanically fixed per 20 cm length.
